Celebration of Community: Will Parkinson and K.C. Wells

Monday May 21, 2018

In a number of ways, K.C. Wells has helped me step up my game as an author. In her former life, she was a teacher. Now? She’s still helping people learn. Simple things like showing instead of telling. And not so simple things, like how to expand a scene to bring it to life. Writing with her? It’s been one educational moment after another.

But…

There is more to her than her skill with the written word. It’s also a Wellspring (get it?) of patience and a genuine love for what she does that shows in her books and, more importantly, in her dealing with people. When she talks, she puts them at ease. She makes them feel like their thoughts are important to her.

K.C. genuinely understands love—in whatever form it takes—and she isn’t afraid to share that with others. She once said something that’s stuck with me: There are no strangers, only friends we haven’t met yet.

If you want to know what’s in her heart, you can read it on any of the pages she’s written, because she throws herself—heart and soul—into it, and it stands out like a shining neon sign, welcoming you to the world of K.C. Wells and her men.
