Review: Chrysalis Corporation

Cat Q., a NetGalley reviewer, shares her thoughts on T.A. Venedicktov's "Chrysalis Corporation".

Chrysalis Corporation by T.A. Vendicktov is an intense science fiction read with really hot M/M subplot. The world and story are complex and create a fascinating peek into what could happen when someone enhances "people" to improve them. Damion Hawk is given the opportunity to break away from the subsistance living that his family has been stuck in for generations to become a pilot. Even more, his scores and abilities allow him to become an Alpha Fighter Pilot protecting the galaxy from pirates. Alpha fighter pilots are paired with "Cores" to help them perform at their peak. Damion's Core, 47, is unique in a world where cores are raised from birth to be the same. The way that 47 and Damion come together and perform is intense and could threaten the corporation. This thriller hits the mark. It is exciting, edge of your seat reading. My only gripe is that the characters are a bit slow in recognizing their relationship. Yet that is in part because of their roles and responsibilities. I hope you enjoy this wild ride through the galaxy as much as I did.
